uSkin® Sensors

For Grippers
Tactile sensors improve how grippers handle objects of different shapes and materials. The uSkin Protect (uSPr) series consists of protected sensors specifically designed for direct integration with a variety of grippers, providing a ready-made tactile solution for precise handling in automation environments.
What does “Protect” mean?
uSPr sensors are more tightly integrated in the gripper, that is, they can be screwed to the gripper. In contrast, uSkin Patch (uSPa) models can be glued to various surfaces. For uSPr sensors, the mounting of the microcontroller is also included in a protected encasing. In addition, the replaceable outer layer module can be exchanged for the protect models, which increases the reliability of the sensor (the top layer is protecting the sensing points beneath it).

For Robot Hands
Tactile sensors improve how robot hands handle objects of different shapes and materials. The uSkin Curved (uSCu) series is a fingertip sensor specifically designed for robot hands, delivering precise contact data from multiple points for human-like control for any task.

For Any Surfaces
Flat and customizable modules like uSkin Patch (uSPa) extend tactile sensing to different sizes and shapes. These can be arranged to fit different shapes and can even be customized to fit curved and cylindrical surfaces.
