uSkin Multibend

‍Explore the adaptable uSkin Multibend sensor, designed for flexibility on cylindrical and curved surfaces

uSkin Multibend

High-density 3-axis tactile sensors

uSkin Multibend has the ability to bend in between the sensing points (taxels), which can be used to mount the sensor onto cylinder-shaped objects or other curved surfaces. Additionally, the sensor’s dimensions can be configured to your specific application.

Explore the Adaptable multibend sensor

uSkin Multibend’s design not only bends between sensing points (taxels) for easy integration on curved surfaces but also offers customisable dimensions for specific applications. Whether for narrow cylinders or broad curves, it can be precisely adjusted and cut in between the sensing points.

Examples of configuration options are illustrated on the right.

Configuration Options

The uSkin Multibend sensor is essentially made of four different sensors, which can be configured to your specific application.

uSMu "Bar"

Integrating uSkin sensors on any robot hand or gripper will provide it with the human sense of touch, making it possible to perform actions as we humans do.

Typical robotic sensors are cumbersome and require extensive customisation for integration. XELA Robotics provides tactile skin sensors that can easily be integrated.

uSMu "Block"

Integrating uSkin sensors on any robot hand or gripper will provide it with the human sense of touch, making it possible to perform actions as we humans do.

Typical robotic sensors are cumbersome and require extensive customisation for integration. XELA Robotics provides tactile skin sensors that can easily be integrated.
